NBHM Summer Social Event 2026

To recognize NBHS's 60th anniversary and America250, the North Berrien Historical Society will host the NBHM Summer Social Event on the museum grounds on Saturday, July 11, 2026, kicking off with the 1st Annual Classic Car Show from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Entry and attendance are both free!
At 1:00 p.m., Bob Myers will make an appearance in the museum’s Agricultural Building for a presentation on the French militia in Southwest Michigan during the American Revolution. He will include participatory elements for both children and adults. Myers is the Senior Advisor for Programming with the Historical Society of Michigan.
Historical activities for youngsters to recognize America250 will be available in the museum’s Lower Level, including making your own flag, tin punching, and quill writing.
TDZ Treats will be on-site all day, vending with their custom-made cotton candy machine.
Free coffee and donuts will be available from 8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. or while supplies last.
Hot dogs and pulled pork BBQ will be made from 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
