Members-Only Trip: Dowagiac Area History Museum

The Dowagiac Area History Museum features 6,000 square feet of exhibits highlighting the history of Dowagiac, Cass County and Sister Lakes. Interactive components make the museum a destination for visitors of all ages. Topics featured include Native American history, early settlement, agriculture, industry, transportation and local military history. The museum boasts an impressive collection of old-fashioned stoves made by the Round Oak Stove Company of Dowagiac, considered the finest heating stove money could buy because of the quality.

This trip is reserved for society members. Limited carpool seating is available. Carpoolers will depart from the museum at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, arriving at Dowagiac Area History Museum at 10:00 a.m. for the tour, which will last about two hours, followed by lunch at Oak + Ash BBQ.
