Members-Only Trip: Van Buren Historical Museum

Society members are invited to take a tour of the Van Buren Historical Museum.

The Van Buren County Historical Society maintains the historic 1884 County Poor House in Hartford Township and is located near the fairgrounds on Red Arrow Highway. The museum consists of three floors and a basement, all filled with historical items. Some of the exhibits include a general store, dentist office, one-room school, housing products, jail cell with local police history, old fashioned kitchen, and a military room. Located outside is a replica log cabin and a blacksmith shop.

Afterwards the society will gather at the Panel Room for lunch. Members will pay for their own meal.

Please reserve your place by Friday, September 17. Carpool will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
