Southwest Michigan in Vietnam

Director Dr. James Smither will be at the North Berrien Historical Museum on April 18th to discuss the Grand Valley State University Veterans History Project and share interviews conducted with Vietnam veterans from southwest Michigan.

Established in 2006, the GVSU Veterans History Project has worked diligently to “collect, record, and archive oral history interviews and other materials relating to the experiences of military veterans of all eras.” Their archives include hundreds of interviews, and accompanying transcripts, with veterans from American conflicts ranging from World War I to the Iraq War. The GVSU Veterans History Project is an archiving partner with the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.

No RSVP is required for this free program. For questions, contact the museum at (269) 468-3330 or at kristen@northberrienhistory.org.
